Air Nigeria: The Buhari Administration Will Begin Flying With Three Borrowed Planes

The long-awaited launch of Air Nigeria, Nigeria’s flag airline, is imminent.

However, three rented planes would be used for the first few sorties.

Mr. Hadi Sirika, the aviation minister, announced this.

After the council meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, the minister revealed it to State House reporters.

He said that the document allowing Nigeria to lease aircraft to begin operations had been approved by the council.

“We have stated that we are starting with three aircrafts for the first instance and then we progress,” he said, referring to the earlier approved draft business case. Because every major airline will utilize both Airbus and Boeing aircraft, we will have a mix of the two.
