Africa’s Richest Man, Aliko Dangote has maintained the first Position in Africa’s Forbes Billionaires List.
The father of three, is a graduate of Al-Azhar University, and has a degree in bachelor of Arts/Science.
Dangote’s grandfather was a successful trader of rice and oats in Kano, Nigeria’s second largest city.
The founder and Chairs of Dangote Cement, Aliko Dangote has the continent’s largest cement producer.
He owns 85% of publicly-traded Dangote Cement through a holding company.
His cement company produces 45.6 million metric tons annually and has operations in 10 countries across Africa.
Aliko Dangote also owns stakes in publicly-traded salt and sugar manufacturing companies.
His refinery has been under construction since 2016, and it is expected to be one of the world’s largest oil refineries once its completed.
