ASUU President: FG Should Use $23 Million From Abacha Loot To Settle Us

The $23 million General Sani Abacha plundered fund, according to Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, national president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), should be used to meet the union’s requests.

In regard to the union’s six-month strike, Osodeke brought up this on Tuesday during a part of Channels Television Politics Today.

The federal administration and the US came to an agreement last week to repay the money that the late dictator took, Stechitegist Media learned.

Osodeke mentioned the fund in his remarks.

“Definitely let me take you to have a house and your kids are sick, especially if your kid is sickly, and I pay you money you weren’t anticipating. Where are you going to put the cash? You ought to cure the child first, don’t you think? prior to considering how to purchase clothing.

“Your universities will be closed for six months, and money you did not anticipate to arrive. If you care about education, where should you actually invest your money? That is what took place. You have personally observed it. And you claim that we need funds. Who are you speaking to? We must cherish this nation.
