Stechitegist Media gathered that, Odinakachukwu Ejiogu, the chairman of ASUU in IMSU, stated that they were still a part of the ASUU’s statewide strike, according to PUNCH reports

Ejiogu stated that the IMSU ASUU branch was solely accountable to the national body in response to Ralph Obinjoku, the university’s public relations officer, calling on lecturers and students to resume academic activities immediately.

He declared that until the national body of the union said otherwise, the university’s lecturers would remain on strike.

We have not abandoned the ASUU strike, Ejiogu stated. We are not currently in the classroom. Until the national ASUU authority instructs us differently, we will remain on strike. The Vice Chancellor and University Public Relations Officer do not have the authority to end the strike.
