If the federal government answers their concerns, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has stated that their industrial action will terminate immediately.
Osodeke asserted that the administration and he had achieved a deal, although it has not yet been formalized.
He cites ASUU’s insistence on using its own created payment mechanism, University Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS), as a major requirement.
“The negotiations are over. We will be there the next day if the government summons us right away to come and sign the contract.
“We will call off the strike once the government notifies us that the UTAS testing is complete and we have agreed to it.
“When will they sign the contract? When will they accept UTAS? The Nigerian government should answer these two issues, according to Osodeke.
