Its disheartening to hear the mysterious death of a prominent lecturer of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State.
The deceased, Dr Gilbert I. Ibitola, was a senior staff in the physical department. Report has it that he slumped in the middle of the night, and all of a sudden he became unconscious. He was hurriedly rushed to the hospital, where he later gave up the ghost after several attempts to save his life.
He was a lecturer that have transformed lives over the years at the early stage of his academic career. Stechitegist learnt that the institution had recently mourn the death of late professor Obadofin, on October 17, 2018, the abducted lecturer, Gideon Okedayo who died on September 10, 2019, and a staff, Kuye Olufemi, who died on November 4, 2018. Its weighs heavy on the institution as OAUSTECH lost another icon.
It was disclosed that Dr Gilbert has a good sense of humour along side with driving so much energy in his lecturing skills. he is succeeded by wife and children.
May God give the Family, Institution and friends the strength to bear the loss.

This is so disheartening and sad, he was more than a lecturer,mentor but he was a driving Force for most of his students, he teaches not lecture with deep enthusiastic and happiness, he would always want you to study more, he will listen to you even if you are saying jargons but ready to set you arright, we will miss you sir , we lost another great and giant physicist, rest on Sir in the bossom of the lord
