Recall that the institution have directed students to resume on the 6th April, 2021, but the school has been shut down due to ongoing JAC strike.
After days of keeping silence, the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State Management have opened up on school resumption.
OAUSTECH Student Union Government, (SUG) proudly led by Okunomo Damilola have confronted the School Registrar, Prof. G.O Saliu along side with the deputy vice Chancellor of the institution.
They have honorably addressed the students populace who trooped out in masses for a peaceful protest.
The School Registrar, Prof. Saliu apologized on behalf of the school management for the lapses and lack of communication that exist between the students and the management.
He disclosed that the Management is negotiating with ASUU representatives while on the other hand, the Non-teaching staff (NASU) representatives have been invited to Akure by the state government in lieu of ongoing strike action.
The Students were reassured that within the next 48hours, the school management will officially release a directive pertaining to new Resumption Date.
However, the Registrar, Prof Saliu urged the students to work together with the management in order to avoid prolonging the semester unnecessarily.
