A vibrant female student, Miss Fatimah Oyesomi of the Federal University Oye Ekiti, FUOYE has won an online career presentation competition.
Miss Fatimah, emerged as the winner of the competition in which it’s an initiative of a non-governmental organization “Build Afrika”
The competition was organized for students of Hospital and Tourism Management across the Tertiary Institution to encourage Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Education in Africa through comprehensive presentation from stakeholders and competitions among participants.
The career presentation which took place online on July 3rd and 4th via the Zoom App Platform, gifted a cash prize of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) and free UK institue of Hospital Student Membership registration to miss Fatimah.
However, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kayode Soremekun stated that the success recorded so far had further affirmed the institution’s passion and thrive for academic excellence in all ramifications, as they sustain the tempo leaving no stone unturned.
He called out on students and staff of the varsity to remain focused and faithful in efforts to take FUOYE to a greater heights on the world map record of academic excellence and to be a shinning example in Africa.
Stechitegist recounts that two lecturers of the department of Theatre and Media Arts in FUOYE, Dr Tosin Time bagged the 2019 ANA Award and Mr Bassy Asuquo won the 2019 SONTA/OLU OBAFEMI price for playwriting.
