Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be leaving Manchester United in the final days of the transfer window, according to Erik ten Hag.
In order to play in the Champions League, Ronaldo asked to leave Old Trafford earlier this summer. Despite being heavily linked with clubs like Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea, all potential high-profile suitors decided against pursuing a transfer.
Although Ten Hag has already announced that Ronaldo will remain at the club, deal between Napoli and Ronaldo’s former club Sporting CP has been discussed in recent days.
“It’s obvious, of course. We require talented athletes. For the consistency to continue, you need more to cover all the games. That’s the goal we have “said he.
When asked about Aaron Wan-future, Bissaka’s Ten Hag responded, “This squad will play from September until January, at the very least, this season.”
The 4-0 hammering at Brentford was Ronaldo’s only start for United so far this season, but the Red Devils have looked more coherent as an attacking unit in their last two games with Marcus Rashford starting up front.
For the first time since December of last year, United will attempt to win three straight Premier League games when it travels to Leicester City on Thursday.
