Driver Without Rear Light Hits Truck, Killing Four

Four people died in a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

Tuesday’s accident included 10 people.

Two cars, a Mazda bus with number plate YYY412XB and a truck with no number plate, were involved in the accident, according to Florence Okpe of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Sector Command.

She said speed and light defects caused the collision.

She claimed, “The Mazda bus driver collided into the moving truck from behind owing to a truck light defect; the truck’s rear lights designed to signal vehicles from behind didn’t work.

Four men, five women, and one boy were involved. Five women and one man were injured.

Three adults and one child died in the crash.

The injured were brought to Victory Hospital, Ogere, and the bodies to FOS Ipara Morgue.

“The crash isn’t blocking traffic, and MTD police have the vehicles, Ogere.”

Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander, FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, recommended motorists to fix their vehicles before a journey.
