Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s provisional trial has been set for May 2, 2023 while he continues to be imprisoned in the UK, despite Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu receiving bail (UK)

A UK High Court judge would hear the matter, according to Judge Richard Marks QC.

On October 31, 2021, a plea and case management hearing has been set.

With Ekweremadu and Obinna Obeta joining her via video link from Wandsworth and Belmarsh prisons, Mrs. Ekweremadu, who is out on bail, appeared before the Old Bailey on Thursday for a plea and directions hearing.

The judge remanded Senator Ekweremadu and Obeta, a 50-year-old London doctor implicated in the case, into custody and granted Mrs. Ekweremadu ongoing conditional bail.
