In a new Channel 4 documentary, the leader of the Bling Ling gang, who stole $3 million from the homes of celebrities including Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom, stated that he “never in his wildest dreams” imagined heists would “reach the levels of criminality it did.” Nick Prugo rose to prominence at the age of 18 for orchestrating a series of celebrity home invasions by Calabasas teenagers.

Total of Seven Members

The robbery gang began with only Nick Prugo and Rachel Lee. They began by stealing cars in affluent neighborhoods before progressing to larger targets. They eventually began recruiting more people to join them, and there were reportedly seven teenagers and young adults who assisted in the crime.

However, one member, Neiers, claims that Lee started it all. Apart from Nick Prugo and Rachel Lee, the seven members who robbed celebrities’ homes at one point during the crime spree were Neiers, Courtney Ames, Diana Tamayo, Johnny Ajar, and Roy Lopez Jr.

Eight Celebrities Reported Their Home Were Robbed

Prugo and Lee’s first celebrity property acquisition was Paris Hilton. They obtained Hilton’s address and used gossip websites such as Perez Hilton to determine when Hilton would be away from home. Prugo and Lee were successful on their first attempt because of the information they gleaned from using Google Earth to plan the most direct route to Hilton’s home. Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr, Rachel Bilson, Brian Austen Green, Megan Fox, and Lindsay Lohan were among the other celebrities who fell victim to the Bling Ring’s theft.

Repeated Bulgary At Same Celebrity Home

Apparently, stealing once was not enough for the robber gang Bling Ring; according to the robbery details on Wikipedia, stealing from certain celebrities once was not enough for the Bling Ring, as they stole from them multiple times. The group attempted to break into Rachel Bilson’s home three to six times, as well as Hilton’s home several times.

Because Lee and Prugo stole so many clothes and accessories from Bilson’s house, they were forced to sell a large portion of them on the Venice Beach boardwalk. They didn’t have enough room to keep everything for themselves.

The A24 Production Made It Seem Like Alexis Neiers Was The Mastermind Behind The Bling Ring

The Bling Ring, a film by A24 Productions, is based on the teen burglars. Prugo is played by Israel Broussard, and Neiers is played by Emma Watson. In the film, Neiers is portrayed as the mastermind behind the burglaries; however, both Neiers and Prugo deny that she was the one who initially organized the gang. Prugo’s invitation to join him on a heist was the only thing that got Neiers involved in the crime spree.

Despite this, Alexis was convicted and sentenced to prison. By a strange coincidence, she found herself in the same cell block as one of her victims. In an interview with E! Online, Neiers boasted about living in the same neighborhood as one of her victims. Lohan was transferred to the same jail block as Neiers just before the end of his sentence.
