Espirito Santo’s state was led by a governor who was also his great-grandfather. English, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Spanish were the five languages in which Soares was a native speaker. He had varying levels of proficiency in each of these languages.

He attended school in Switzerland when he was younger, and it was there that he first became interested in acting. He returned to Brazil and started training as an actor right away after his parents’ company went under.

Jô Soares, one of Brazil’s most well-known comedians and television personalities, passed away early on Friday morning in Sao Paulo. He was 84.

Soares had been admitted to the facility on July 28 with pneumonia, according to data provided by the Sirio Libanes hospital in Sao Paulo. It provided no details regarding the cause of his passing in the note that was published on its website.

He didn’t make his screen debut in a musical film until 1954, and his first television appearance came in 1958. He began producing and directing films, and he injected his sense of humor into the characters he developed. He also penned books and newspaper editorials, frequently employing humor and irony as his go-to ingredients for healing.

He started hosting talk shows in the late 1980s, and it was during this time that the expression “A kiss from the fat man” gained popularity.

He interviewed numerous well-known people for his program, “Programa do Jô,” which aired on the sizable Brazilian television network Globo from 2000 to 2016. After a brief life, Rafael, Soares’s only child, passed away in 2014. Soares continued to work during this time and honored him on the radio.
