When a fight broke out at the Valley Metro Complex in Brisbane on Monday, a young man by the name of Lauie Tagaloa was savagely stabbed in the neck by another young man.
After being stabbed, Lauie, also known as LT, passed away there and then as he bled to death on the ground.
A gruesome video of the stabbing was shared on Twitter on Tuesday while police investigated the incident and detained a suspect.
LT, a 24-year-old Brisbane resident, was stabbed in the neck during a verbal confrontation at Valley Metro Complex between two parties.
According to a video posted online, the two parties were engaged in a verbal altercation when a man in the back abruptly pulled out a knife and swung it at the young Tagaloa.
When Lauie first started bleeding, he was already bleeding to death when he immediately fell to the ground and died in a pool of blood.
According to the police, witnesses attempted to save the victim by giving him first aid, but the cut was too close to a crucial organ, and the young Brisbane man passed away immediately.
A video depicting the precise moment Lauie Tagaloa was stabbed and fell unconscious has been making the rounds on the internet, primarily on Twitter.
In the comments, others accuse the person behind the camera of being uncaring, saying that they should have intervened to try to save the dying individual rather than just filming the occurrence.
Some people watch the terrible film and become terrified; they wish they had never seen it.
Condolences for the young man and wishes that the murderer receives the justice he deserves are all over Twitter. Meanwhile, some are criticizing LT for charging an armed man.
Given that people are sharing a horrific video of the man being stabbed and bleeding to death, it has also been questioned how callous social media has become as a result of the graphic content. Police have claimed that the footage has also aided in the investigation, nevertheless.
Police detained a young man called Seyram Kwami Djentuh as a suspect in the homicide of Lauie Tagaloa using security footage of the area and the video shot during the incident.
The 20-year-old cut Tagaloa in the neck with a knife before escaping the scene with his buddies.
According to HITC, the suspect was called to appear in court on Tuesday, but due to his absence, the matter was postponed until August 8.
According to a report in DailyMail, two additional individuals, who were at the scene and are ages 20 and 21, are supporting the investigation that will lead to charges in the future.
