Gunmen abducts hotel manager, staff in Oyo

Two persons have been taken hostage in Oyo State by gunmen who are allegedly kidnappers.

A hotelier and a member of his staff were abducted in the Aba neighborhood of Ogbomoso town, according to information obtained by Stechitegist Media via sources.

On Thursday night, the two were kidnapped by gunmen who were likely Fulani herdsmen.

According to sources, the hotelier who also owns a farm suffers from hypertension and takes medication.

Before they were kidnapped from his hotel on Thursday evening, our correspondent learned that the hotelier had just returned from a vacation to Ogbomoso.

The approximately ten shooters opened fire before dragging their victims into the bushes.

This kidnapping incident is the third to be recorded in the Ogbomoso geopolitical zone this month.

On Saturday, July 16, this year at Jabata in the Surulere local government area of the State, Christopher Bakare, a farm supervisor at the farm of the late Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former governor of the state, was kidnapped.

On Friday, July 22, this year, Baba Rasheed, the proprietor of a private hospital, was also kidnapped in the same local government region.
