Dale Norris, a longtime public servant and current Harrison County commissioner, passed away on Saturday. He was 64 years old.
Norris was very active in the county fair and has been a member of the Harrison County Commission since 2012. He has also worked for the Harrison County Highway Department, where he eventually held the position of superintendent.
Despite the fact that Norris passed away from cancer last Monday, fellow Commissioner Paul Coffland said that Norris had recently attended county meetings on the Monday before.
Despite his health challenges, he always tried to do what he could.
It will be difficult, Coffland predicted. There are many members of Dale’s family and friends who hold him in high regard. I offer them my prayers and thoughts.
The commission’s president characterized Norris’ health deterioration as a challenging process and the county’s loss of him as heartbreaking.
He had served as a county officer for many years and was currently the commissioner for Harrison County.
His wife Amy, two children Nathan (Katie) and Donald (Jessica), three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews make up the rest of his family.
“We send the family our sympathy. I believe he is now in a better place, Bethel stated. Without a doubt, he experienced this alongside us. Another significant individual in Harrison County has passed away.
Norris left behind a sizable number of family members, including his wife Amy, two children Donald (Jessica) and Nathan (Katie), three grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Cadiz-based Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of making the funeral arrangements.
