Harry Kane, a striker for Tottenham, has acknowledged Antonio Conte’s desire for him to extend his relationship with the team.
The England captain is back to his best for Spurs and scoring goals after a crazy 2021 in which he actively pursued a transfer to Manchester City. On Sunday, his brace against Nottingham Forest helped Spurs move up to third place in the Premier League.
Although Kane’s current contract is set to end in 2024, back in July neither Kane nor the club were in a rush to negotiate a new one. Compared to Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte has made him happier, and the Italian thinks the club is attempting to get him to sign new contracts.
I have to be frank with you: I have no idea about this circumstance, and I am unaware of the specifics, he stated.
“You are aware that we are discussing a significant player for Tottenham. Everyone at the club wants Kane to sign a new deal and stay with Tottenham for the foreseeable future.
But I am unable to respond to questions concerning specifics or facts.
At this early stage of the season, only Erling Haaland (six goals) has scored more Premier League goals than Kane, and his most recent double helped Spurs defeat a resolute Forest team.
The north London team is still two points behind early leaders and neighborhood rivals Arsenal, Manchester City, and Brighton, all of whom have ten points after four games.
