Tobi Amusan, the Nigerian sprinter, who set a new world record in the women’s 100 meters hurdlesin the World Athletic Championship has taken out time to share her past and how some officials made her look like it is impossible to become a champion

Tobi Amusan said a number of things in the stories that Punch News released that caught people’s attention. It was a lot of pressure for a young athlete, she noted in her testimony. I contemplated giving up. Some coaches advised me to attempt the hurdles since I truly wanted to tour with the senior national team.

Tobi Amusan claimed she has played the sport for a long time but has never been able to go with the senior national team for matches because the coaches and officials always chose the players they wanted for that occasion.

Tobi Amusan claimed that although she wasn’t a hurdler, some coaches had to give her advice because she wasn’t selected for the Relay team. It might also interest you to read Man United Introduce Eriksen
