Hip-hop recording artist Ice Prince Zamani has been remanded to the Ikoyi Correctional Centre after an assault charge was brought against him by a magistrate court in the Ajah district of Lagos.
Assault, hindering a police officer from performing his statutory responsibilities, and abduction are the three counts on which the ‘Oleku’ singer was brought before the court by the Lagos State police Command on Friday.
After hearing the charges, the defendant entered a not guilty plea.
To that end, Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi released him on bail in the amount of N500,000. In addition, he must provide the court with two reliable sureties.
The magistrate has remanded him until he satisfies the bail requirements and postponed further proceedings until September.
