With ten minutes remaining, Christian Eriksen, who had received a rousing welcome on his first visit to the King Power Stadium since his cardiac arrest, flashed a shot just past of Danny Ward’s goal.

Midway through the first half, United scored on the break thanks to a fast pass from Bruno Fernandes to Marcus Rashford, who then set up Jadon Sancho to beat Ward and score

As the visitors maintained control for the remainder of the first half and went into halftime with a goal advantage, Harvey Barnes hit a few harmlessly wide attempts from a distance.

Following the half, Leicester applied more pressure, and James Maddison’s spectacular free-kick from 25 yards forced David de Gea into a diving save.

Substitute In the final ten minutes, Cristiano Ronaldo attempted an audacious overhead kick, but it bounced wide. Then, with no other United player in sight, he flashed a cross through the Leicester box.

With stoppage time approaching, Kelechi Iheanacho nearly put a better cross from Fernandes into his own net, while Maddison and James Justin missed half-chances as time ran out.
