A sex trafficking organization run by Chinese and Vietnamese nationals that brought girls from Asia into Zambia and forced them into prostitution has been uncovered by an investigation.
The investigation also showed that Nguyn Thi Minh, a Vietnamese businesswoman, was detained by Lusaka police three days prior and charged with procuring goods in violation of Section 140 of the Penal Code, despite the fact that Ray Hamoonga, a spokesman for the police, was unable to confirm the arrest and stated that “the matter is still under investigation.”
