Malam Abidu Yazid Rafindadi, a former secretary in the Katsina State government, has passed away.
Rafindadi, who served as Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, passed away on Thursday in Abuja.
In the meantime, Malam Abidu Yazid Rafindadi, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin, has passed away after a battling a brief illness. His family, the Katsina Emirate, the Katsina State government, and the people of Katsina State have all been extended condolences by the university.
The school asked God for the strength to endure the irreparable loss in a statement released Thursday in Ilorin by the Director, Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun.
Please God, grant eternal rest to his soul. The statement concluded, “May God forgive his sins and admit him to Aljannah Firdaous.”
According to the statement, the late Mallam Yazid was a former Secretary for the government of Katsina State and was a highly respected public worker.
Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), was appointed as the university’s new vice chancellor following a thorough selection process and his appointment was announced a fortnight ago (Thursday, September 8, 2022).
