Service chiefs have started carrying out President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to treat terrorism and banditry without compassion.

If anyone remembers, Buhari had Garba Shehu command that no bandit or terrorist should be offered mercy in a statement broadcast on Tuesday.

President Buhari confirmed that his administration had given the military personnel “full freedom” to carry out the exercise to end insecurity in the statement titled, “President Buhari condemns barbaric attacks in Plateau, Sokoto, and Kaduna, Condoles bereaved families.” The exercise had to begin right away.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, gave a clue on the start of the operation on Tuesday, telling all security personnel across the nation to use the most firepower possible against terrorists and outlaws posing dangers to the security of the country.

He received this directive in Kaduna when he was conversing with fellow Frontline Air officers. It might interest you to read Nigeria Newspaper Headlines Today, Breaking News, Politics Today, August 4, 2022
