The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone and Lagos JCC staged a peaceful protest in the Lagos community.
The movement was ably led by the coordinator and gallant JCC Chairman, Comrade Kappo Samuel and Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed (RATIO).
NANS reacted to the sudden increase in petrol price in the country. As the association is elected to protect the interest of the Nigerian students, Comrade Rasheed spoke and demand for immediate reversal of the pump price, electricity tariff and other utility bills.
“Students are still struggling to cope on getting their needs towards meeting up with the resumption as some states have announced, increasing the petrol price in this time is creating more problem for the students and even killing the students”, he said.
“We are elected to protect the interest of the students and we will always stand on the rights of the students as part of plan of NANS REBIRTH as we promise the Nigerian students.”
“On this note, we demand immediate reversal on the petrol price or expect the return of the over 4.2 million students in Lagos state.”
