Neymar will be tried in October for alleged transfer violations, judicial sources revealed Wednesday.
The Brazilian international, his parents, and former Barcelona presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu will be tried for alleged corruption in 2013 transfer.
Rosell and Bartomeu face fraud accusations in their October 17-31 trial.
Neymar left Barcelona for PSG in 2017 for a world-record 222 million euros, although his journey from Santos to Barca remains controversial.
Brazilian group DIS, the former owner of some of the player’s rights, filed a complaint.
Barcelona said the sale cost $57.1 million, with 40 million going to Neymar’s family and 17.1 million to Santos, but Spanish prosecutors alleged it cost at least $83.3 million.
The DIS, which received 6.8 million of the 17.1 million euros given to Santos, claims Barca and Neymar disguised the real transfer cost.
Neymar has stated he was just focused on football and trusted his father, who is also his agent, totally.
Bartomeu took over Barcelona after Rosell resigned in January 2014 after corruption suspicions over a transfer.
Barcelona stated they were cleared of fraud accusations in 2020.

The tax agency wouldn’t disclose if Neymar’s inclusion was related to his move from Santos to Barcelona.

The 30-year-old has been on PSG’s preseason tour of Japan as they prepare for Sunday’s French Champions’ Trophy versus Nantes.
