Rivers state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, was officially declared dead, and friends has paid tribute to the deceased.
On November 1, 1989, he joined the Nigerian police Force and spent many years as the PPRO of Rivers State Command among other positions.
However, the Rivers State police command had not yet released a statement regarding the most recent occurrence.
According to a trusted source in the command, Udogu was watching television with his family on Wednesday, August 5, 2021 when he suddenly complained of chest trouble and collapsed.
His passing occurred precisely one year after that of Christian Udogu, his former deputy spokesman and a renowned volleyball player.
Omoni was from Rundele, a locality in Rivers State’s Emohua Local government Area.
Omoni held the position of police spokesperson for the state’s longest period of time—more than five years.
In a brief and heartfelt answer on Wednesday, his successor, Grace Iringe-Koko, informed our correspondent of his passing and stated that a statement to that effect was in the works.
While it’s difficult to say, a fan wrote: “With a pool of tears in my eyes and a broken and shattered heart, I just have to say Rest In Peace SP Barr. Nnamdi Omoni.
Sweet and adorable brother, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Few days after his birthday, Nnamdi Omoni passed away in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. His cause of death is yet unknown.
