Omah Lay inherited his music prowess from his grandfather who happened to be a legendary singer in the late 70s Highlife sensation.

At the early stage of his musical career, he uniquely creates and produces his own songs with a piece of Highlife music, then over time he tuned to Afro-beat.

As a result of being creative, his music genre is Afro fusion, I.e a blend of Afro Beat and High-life.
