Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has ordered all of the church’s provinces to begin “Operation display your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).”
To encourage churchgoers to vote in the upcoming elections in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye issued the order.
“We refer to the above and wish to kindly inform you that we have received a directive from the Mission Authority to ensure a high level of sensitization in all our parishes on the need for all our members to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise,” reads the letter released by Intercontinental Youth Pastor/PICR, Belemina Obunge, and addressed to pastors in charge of provinces.
Considering the upcoming deadline (June 30th, 2022) for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise, Provincial Hqtrs and Mega Parishes are invited to use their parish as a center for one or two days to enable their members’ & interested neighbors’ registration.
“Provinces will be expected to give a summarized report on parishes’ adherence to the aforementioned mandate to the office of the undersigned, specifying the number of adult members versus the number of PVCs counted.”
For further compilation and submission to the Mission Authority, the report is due on or before Tuesday, June 27, 2022.
