Ike Ekweremadu, a Nigerian, and Beatrice, his wife, were detained in London.

They were detained and accused of transporting a youngster to the UK for organ harvesting, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The unnamed youngster is reportedly with the Metropolitan Police, and the accused are being held in prison until their arraignment at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court in a few hours.

“A lady and a man were charged today with planning to organise the transit of a child into the UK in order to harvest organs,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

“The charges come after a Specialist Crime squad investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

“[A] Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, 55 (10.9.66), of Nigeria, is accused of conspiring to set up or aid another person’s travel with the intention of exploitation, specifically organ harvesting.

“[B] Ike Ekweremadu, 60 (12.05.62), of Nigeria, is accused of conspiring to set up or aid another person’s travel with the intention of exploitation, specifically organ harvesting.

“They’ve both been remanded in custody and will show up in court later today at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court.

“The inquiry was started when investigators received a tip in May 2022 about possible violations of the modern slavery legislation. A child has been protected, and we are closely collaborating with partners to provide ongoing support. We won’t be giving any further information because criminal processes are already underway.

The suspect and the previous Deputy Senate President have the same name. Whether he is the culprit or they are related is unknown. It might interest you to read Ike Ekweremadu Full Biography, Net Worth, Wife, Arrest, Latest News
