Osinbajo Has Been Discharged From A Lagos Hospital After Undergoing Surgery

Obafemi Awolowo was released from hospital on Monday after a successful femur operation at the Duchess International Hospital (thigh bone).

Osinbajo, who underwent surgery on July 16, spent another eight days on crutches as he recovered.

Osinbajo was discharged from the hospital after “physiotherapy and a smooth rehabilitation,” according to a statement from his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Lalou Akande. “He will continue recuperating in the next few days.”

After a successful operation and recovery at Duchess Hospital, VP Osinbajo was released.’

Osinbajo was taken to the Duchess International Hospital in Lagos on July 16, 2022 because of a right femur fracture,” according to the statement from Dr. Nicholas Audifferen, Chief Personal Physician to the Vice President. He underwent corrective surgery with no issues.

There were seven days of physiotherapy and seamless rehabilitation following the surgical procedure for him. “He’s been released from the hospital and is now recovering.”

He commended the Hospital’s CEO, Dr Tokunbo Shitta-Bey; the Medical Director, Dr Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi; and all of the Hospital’s clinical and auxiliary personnel for their professionalism and quality of treatment.

Aside from the President, he thanked everyone for their well wishes, including retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) and Nigerians from all walks of life.
