The Ondo state University of science and technology, Okitipupa (OSUSTECH) has appointed Professor Aladesanwa Rex Dada as the acting Dean, Faculty of Agricultural sciences at the institution.
Following the cessation of the previous dean of Agriculture, Prof. Adegboyega Obadofin, who reportedly died in a fire incident over night in Ayeka area of Okitipupa around 1:00am, on October 9, 2018. The institution has designated a successor, in person of Prof. Aladesanwa.
Stechitegist gathered that Prof. Aladesanwa has considerable research experience in the field of chemical weed control, plant protection from pests and diseases including integrated pest management. He has also taught Weed Science and Crop Protection Technology at the undergraduate level and Advanced Crop Protection as well as Integrated Pest Management at the postgraduate level for more than ten years.

Professor Aladesanwa is a renowned scientist in the field of weed science and plant protection, who has worked on vital subject areas not often investigated by weed scientists and plant pathologists, namely the effects of non-targeted pesticides on disease and crop development
He is the immediate past Editor-in-Chief of Applied Tropical Agriculture, an International Journal published by the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.
