A BBC News Pidgin journalist granted an interview to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate, in the early hours of today.
Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor, spoke extensively about the impending presidential election, StechiteGist Media reports.
According to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, “will receive votes, but his political experience is too small (for the presidency).”
Additionally, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa advised Nigerians to exercise caution when selecting a presidential candidate. “It is not about saying they want someone who is new,” he said. That’s what they stated in 2015, but how did the new individual fare?
I want Nigerians to ponder about critical topics, he said as he concluded. The national unity issue is one of these. Nigerians require a leader who can bring the country’s people together despite their evident divides.
