Jimmy Butler, who recently completed his eleventh NBA season and has established himself as a true superstar in Miami, guided the Heat to the top seed and the Eastern Conference Finals last year.

After averaging 27.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.1 steals per game in the postseason, the baller is steadily emerging as a force to be reckoned with.

For NBA fans, whether ardent or casual, Jimmy Butler is a familiar face. However, when images and videos from Butler’s most recent offseason workout with Chris Brickley appeared on Instagram, fans had to take a second look.

That’s because Butler, whose hair has often been kept pretty short, unexpectedly showed up with long dreads that were bleached at the end, which is a totally different appearance from what we are used to seeing from the Heat star.

This season, Butler began donning braids in Miami, which marked the beginning of the hairstyle change. However, I don’t believe anyone anticipated that he would elevate that look even further with the extra-long hair.

Butler posted photos of his newly transformed hair on Instagram as he had the extensions installed for the new appearance. He captioned the photo, “Now you see me, now you don’t.”

Since then, people have been responding to the change on Twitter. Someone said, “He moved from Jimmy Butler to Jim Morant.” Another person questioned, “Bro when did Jimmy Butler grow dreadlocks?”
