Sam Omatseye, a journalist and supporter of Tinubu, has drawn criticism for his contentious piece on Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.

Peter Obi was referred to by Omatseye as an IPOB supporter in the piece Obi-tuary, which was printed on the back page of The Nation’s Newspaper.

“Obi has proven to be an alibi for even closet Biafrans to betray open emotions regarding Biafra without being accused of it,” the author of the post stated. This includes the intelligentsia who did not have mercy on him while he was the chief executive of Anambra and ruled in a pharisaic manner. It’s similar to layering colors on top of one other. Both criminals and crowd activists have found refuge in Obi.

But Omatseye closed his Facebook comment section, preventing users from leaving their opinions.

Many Nigerians, particularly those in the writing industry, have expressed disapproval of the amateurish piece and demanded Omatseye to apologize to Obi.
