Shanquella Robinson was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the last time Salamondra Robinson talked to her daughter on the phone.
Salamondra says that on October 28, a 25-year-old hairdresser from Charlotte, North Carolina, went on a trip with seven friends to celebrate a birthday. Queen City News said that the group stayed at the cabovillas.com-listed Villa Linda 32.
Salamondra told Queen City News, “They had a villa, and that’s where they stayed all night.” “They didn’t even leave the house.”
Salamondra says that Shanquella talked to her mom before dinner on the first night of their trip, which was Friday.
Salamondra said, “She told me they had a chef.” “They were about to start eating. They were eating something, like tacos or a salad, and I said, “OK. I love you. Have a good night, and we’ll talk tomorrow.’ But Salamondra and Shanquella never talked again. Her 25-year-old daughter died in less than 24 hours. Now, she wants the people who were with her to explain what happened.
A person who works at the lodging site said that the group of vacationers got there on Friday and asked for medical help on Saturday afternoon. A concierge called a doctor, who tried CPR on Shanquella but couldn’t bring her back to life. Queen City News says that the official time of death was set at 3 p.m., less than 15 minutes after the person died.
But Salamondra said that Shanquella’s friends have told her different things about what happened to her in the days since she died. “They said she was sick,” she remembered. “They didn’t have a heartbeat. Each person who was there with her had a different story to tell.”
