On July 7, 1981, Natasha Tameika Cobbs was born in the Georgian community of Jesup. When she was born, her parents were Lady Bertha Cobbs and Bishop Fritz Cobbs (1954–2014). At Jesup New Life Ministries, which her father had founded, she took over as the worship leader.


Cobbs-Leonard revealed in the year 2016 that she had received a depression diagnosis in the year 2007.

On March 3, 2017, she wed music producer and longtime love Kenneth Leonard in a private ceremony that was only attended by her closest family and close friends. In July 2021, a son was welcomed into her household.
