The President of National Congress of Akoko students, AKINYELE LEMUEL OLALEKAN in this interview with Dr fish speaks on how he has been able to balance the workload of academics and politics at the same time on campus.
Comrade AKINYELE LEMUEL OLALEKAN, a 300 level student of the department of agricultural economics and extension in Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State. He is well known for his agile leadership behavior.
However, he remains the Pioneer President of National Association of agricultural student (NAAS), OAUSTECH Chapter and the newly elected President of National Congress of Akoko students (NACAS).

Dr Fish: Can we meet you sir?
President: I am Lemuel OLALEKAN AKINYELE, a 300 level Agricultural Economics and Extension students of Olusegun Agagu University of science and technology. Okitipupa Nigeria.
Dr Fish: Can you tell us about your background?
President: Well, I’m an indigene of Ondo state from AKINYELE family of Araromi afa Okeagbe Akoko in Ondo state Nigeria. I lost my Dad some years back but my mum is still with me. I grew up in Ondo state.
Dr Fish: You seems to have interest in politics, what gear you up?
President: Ever since wen i was small, I always wanted to be a social and community service manager. There are many misconceptions about people living in poverty, particularly when it comes to how they became poor and why they stay poor. Many think the individuals are to blame, but the economic system makes it extremely difficult for some people to live above the poverty line.

Social and community service managers are embedded within nonprofit organizations that help those living in poverty. They develop programs targeted at particular demographic groups and oversee day-to-day operations in addition to hiring staff, making budgets and writing grant proposals. I can say that was what geared me up
Dr Fish: After school, Did you still want to continue with your political pursuit?
President: Everything has been on God since I started as the Governor of my faculty, I also served as the president of my faculty. If there is a chance for me in the fulture. I may venture into it_
Dr fish: What are the challenges you face during your tenure in your past offices?
President: In life, Challenges will surely come. Yes, I faced some challenges which includes being unavailable for class, meetings upon meetings, indequate funds, although, it’s normal..
You know, oftentimes I do skip classes but God has been helping me. My lecturers are also there for me.
Dr fish: How have you been able to balance the post with your academics in such a way that it doesn’t affect it?
President: With God, all things are possible. I do liase with some of my lecturers and they are helping me in one way or the other.
Although, the road isn’t smooth but God have been merciful to me
No!!! it’s not affecting my Academics and beside, Universities are training grounds for future leaders and that includes political leaders
Dr Fish: After your tenure as the NACAS President, What is the next level?
President: Still on God. He knows the best place to put me
Dr Fish: Are you in any relationship for now?
President: Yes, Abe Esther 300L Food Science and Technology. She has been so good to me ever since my 100l days
Dr Fish: As a celebrity in campus, sexual advances will surely be made towards you. How do you retrain them?
President: Dr fish, don’t let us talk about that..
Dr fish: What is your view on the new project commissioned by Ondo state governor recently in OAUSTECH?
President: There is no doubt that doing well in college is a sizable challenge, I most Command the Efforts of Mr Governor Towards some project that was commissioned through him in OAUSTECH… I considered it as a goal and Mr Governor should please make these project available for the less privilege, What do I mean by this? By making Education affordable to the people of the state so as to enjoy more of Democracy
Dr Fish: In conclusion, What are your advice to people that want to be like you
President: There is a saying which goes thus, winners never quit, quitters never win.
