A tall, strong cheerleader who is transgender was cited for a crime and expelled from a cheerleading camp in Texas, according to the police, after making remarks against another female squad member’s gender identity.
On July 23, a transgender cheerleader claimed in a widely shared Facebook post that she was expelled from a cheer camp at Ranger College, a community college in Texas, following an incident of transphobia and racism.
A lengthy statement by Averie Chanel Medock, formerly Dmontrey Duval Satchell, accusing her cheering teammates and the College of prejudice, was released online. “Well, folks, as of last night at 5:30 AM, I officially resigned from the cheerleading industry. According to Medlock, “A girl on the squad was acting really disrespectfully when she told me that I am a MAN with a PENIS and that [men] shouldn’t be on the team.
“I stood up for myself, which made her call her parents because she was afraid because I had done so. She still has testosterone and a penis, and I will murder anyone who pursues my daughter, according to her father.
Avery persisted in asserting that she was wrongfully accused of assault while having done nothing wrong, and she proceeded to charge the team members of racism. On Facebook, Avery’s post received over 4,000 reactions, which attracted the attention of the local media.
Karleigh Jones, a cheer comrade, then called her family and said she had been assaulted, and soon after that the police and Jones’ parents arrived, according to Avery, who is considerably bigger and stronger than any of the females in the cheer camp, in an interview with KTAB.
A few cellphone video clips from the night of the event have surfaced; one of them shows the female cheerleaders being shut in their room and attempting to calm what seemed to be an enraged Averie. It might also interest you to read Nigeria’s 10 Most Expensive Tribes for Brides
