After conversations between the two clubs over the course of the night, stechitegist is told that West Ham United and Lyon are close to reaching an agreement about the transfer of Lucas Paqueta.
On Thursday, the Hammers made a second, higher-than-€50 million offer for Paqueta, but Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, who is known for being a tough negotiator, rejected the offer.
Sources informed stechitegist on Thursday night that the deal was seriously in risk since West Ham appeared unable to meet Lyon’s high expectations, but negotiations went on into the night in an effort to reach an understanding
The clubs are currently nearing a deal around €60 million, including add-ons, with Paqueta having already reached a personal contract with West Ham.
